The BXI-50 is the most compact actuator in the BXI family — just 64 mm in diameter and 0.5 kg — yet it still delivers 25 N·m of peak torque with a 6 mm hollow shaft. It is the joint of choice for wrists, ankles and head-neck mechanisms.

Precision where it matters
BXI-50 pairs a cross-roller bearing with dual encoders — magnetic and inductive — for smooth, backdrive-aware control of small joints. It also drives our BXI Gripper, so gripper and wrist share one control scheme.
Typical applications
- Ankle and shin joints for compliant stepping
- Wrist joints of robotic arms
- Head-neck mechanisms for expressive motion
